bullet

complete computer training;

bullet

the final steps involve scheduling your first 4 hours of phone work with a mentor for Supervised Experience, followed by working an independent phone shift.

After completion of the formal training class, additional individual training is completed on an individual basis, at your convenience.  All phases of the training must be completed by a standard deadline.  For a detailed description of the training program, please read our Training Program Requirements.  The Training Schedule indicates dates and times of the most recent or next training class.  All training class sessions are mandatory and cannot be missed.  Before applying to become a volunteer crisis counselor, you should also check out our Hours Commitment Policy

We require an application and screening interview prior to training.  To request a Hotline Counselor volunteer application, please telephone us at (513)523-4149.  Each training class is limited to 40 trainees.  After receiving your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview.
