Return applications ASAP but no later than October 3 

Interviews End.................Friday, October 10

Pick Up Training Manuals....Monday–Friday  October 13-17

Formal Training Sessions:

We will be doing two simultaneous classes, one to accommodate
those with Mon-Wed schedules, and one to accommodate those with
Tue-Thu schedules. We will limit each class to 40 trainees. All 80
trainees will be together for the Saturday and Sunday training sessions.
You will need to select one of the following schedules (notate on the
application which class you will be with):

Additional Training Components                     Must Be Completed By:

Computer Training (complete during Formal Training if possible - it takes about 45 minutes); have it done no later than........Friday, December 19

Information and Referral Practice Vignettes
(To be completed during the 10 observation hours)...Friday, December 19

Policy Review and Test (must be passed before signing up for Supervised Experience hours)....................................Friday, January 16 

Supervised Experience with Mentor (4 hours).........Friday, February 20 

Supervised Experience with Hotline Director (2 hrs).......Friday, May 7

Volunteers gain Full Active Status upon successful completion of a minimum of 4 hours of Supervised Experience with a Mentor, after which the trainee is evaluated as ready to function independently as a counselor. All trainees will also work two hours under the supervision of the Hotline Director, but do not need to complete this in order to work independently.
